What are we all about here at Primal Digital Marketing?
Today, I’m going to tell you a little about why the word”Primal” is used for this brand, what it means to me, and what it means for our customers. This post, as an introduction, is a bit about me. In future posts, I will turn the tables and focus on how we can help you improve your marketing efforts.

As an entrepreneur, I spent countless hours banging my head against the wall, trying to figure out a precise direction that would join market needs and personal interests. I spent years studying emotional intelligence and personal growth and months developing leadership programming. It was a passion, but traditional businesses in this area didn’t satisfy me. I didn’t want to be a coach, professor, or motivational speaker. So, what’s else is there?
Marketing. Specifically, digital marketing. At 12 years old I started creating my first websites and online communities. By 14, I had one business website, one personal website, and two message boards. Since that time, I’ve always loved online marketing.
Then I had an idea that slowly developed into something profound. It is what you see today – Primal Digital Marketing.

To begin, let’s define what primal means:
essential; of first importance; fundamental.
relating to the needs and behaviors that form the origins of emotional life.
Primal is just what it sounds like – a reference to the original nature of man.
So what does it mean for us in digital marketing? The internet is anything but “primal”.
True, but we use the internet for one primary reason – communication. Whether through words, picture, video, or any other medium ahead of us (who knows what with wearable tech like Google Glass), we communicate. And we communicate at a primal level.
And the leading aspect of primal communication is emotion. In the future, I’ll write more about the fundamentals of how we interact primarily based upon emotional impulses (thanks to our “reptilian” brain). And don’t worry, I’ll keep it basic and yet exciting.
After years of studying communication, neuroscience, persuasion, copywriting, and digital marketing, I found a “sweet spot” that united these diverse areas. It represented an opportunity for me to fully express the art I found within each discipline, and bring it to others to help them benefit from the growth potential.
